Five-Year Anniversary + a Giveaway! [closed]

Five-Year Anniversary of Olives for Dinner!

Happy 2016! Has it really been five years since we hit publish on our very first blog post?

This past year has been great. In addition to writing more than 40 posts, I had the opportunity to take Rouxbe’s Plant-Based Professional Online Course, we did some photography for VegNews and Go Gluten Free Magazines and we attended the 2015 Vida Vegan Con in May. I love feeling so connected to the vegan community, and LA has been such a wonderful spot to create and cultivate relationships with amazing vegan chefs, authors, personalities and bloggers. This past year has been incredible and I’m so grateful for it!

For the past two years I’ve conducted a reader feedback survey on Olives for Dinner. I love creating original content, but need your feedback on how it can be improved. What do you like most about it? What keeps you coming back? (I hope you keep coming back!)  What can I do to make the site better or more useful to you?

This year, as in the past couple of years, I’m offering a giveaway of cookbooks from some of my favorite authors for not one but THREE lucky winners! They are:

Isa Does It (Isa Chandra Moskowitz) | Vegan Soul Kitchen (Bryant Terry) | Vegan Richa’s Indian Kitchen (Richa Hingle)

There are three chances to be entered to win. They are:

1. Take my reader survey!

2. Connect with me on any or all of the social media channels listed below, and leave a comment below letting me know you did (or already do!)

Facebook | Instagram | Twitter | Pinterest | Bloglovin’

3. Leave a comment below letting me know which recipes or type of recipes you like best on the site and what you’d like to see more of in 2016!

Do one or all to increase your chances of winning! On January 11, I’ll randomly pick three responses as the winners. First picked will get first choice, second pick will get next and third will automatically get the last one.

The winners of this giveaway are Emily, Julz and Joleanna … congrats!

Thank you for taking the time to enter the survey and submitting your feedback! As always, if you have a question or comment, feel free to contact me.

Happy 2016! xo

You do such a fabulous job with everything but my favorite are your lentil and chickpea recipes…you always have creative ideas for these trusty old standbys. More chickpea/lentil/bean recipes would be great (rather than soy-based or processed ingredients), and of course more of your sumptuous photos. Cheers!

I've only made the vegan carrot lox so far and I am craving it big time today (out of carrots though, too lazy to go to the store today.) Next time I am going to add nori or kelp dust to the marinade thought I think. … Anyhow, I follow you on Instagram and just love the photos of the food you post! You have a true craft that I wish to possess. (I'm a good cook, but bad with time management and presentation is not my forte!). As far as 2016, keep doing what you're doing, everything you make sounds delicious to me!

OK I'm really trying to limit myself to three recipes so in no specific order: Fire noodles with crispy tofu, Spicy Vegan Scallop Roll,Tempeh Reuben with Sriracha-Vegenaise Dressing, Baked oyster mushrooms with dynamite sauce, Hearts of Palm crab cakes (I know, I know, everyone's mentioned them). (Just pretend these are three, please)

Honorable mentions/things I very much still want to try: pomegranate-coconut kanten, Fiery Sriracha Pearls, Chickpea Salad Sandwich, whiskey-sriracha candy, your okonomiyaki, the beany burger with sriracha-mayo & the vegan dynamite roll (I die).

What would I love to see more of: an Erin Wysocarski & Hubby cookbook, for the love of gahd.
